The freedom of the world and the Earth. The freedom to live, to die, to choose.
The freedom to be, to be born and to exist. The freedom to think, to read, to say, to dream.
This freedom is the very essence of life , and yet we are so unequal before it. It sometimes escapes us, elusive and fragile, leaving behind a feeling of helplessness in the face of its immensity and complexity.
Freedom is that degree of choice we have, that infinite power that rests in our hands. It is the gift and the responsibility we carry. Every moment, we shape our lives with it, and sometimes, we give it our power.
Freedom is a vision. She is this majestic woman who stands before us, her arm outstretched towards the sky, carrying hope, strength and determination. She embodies this universal dream that transcends borders, eras and cultures.
We are ready to give everything for her: words, songs, screams, fights, and tears.
We elevate it as a symbol, we sometimes enclose it in laws, but it remains elusive, a breath, a light , a force that surpasses us.
Freedom is subtle. It is gentle as a caress, powerful as a storm, wise as an ancient secret. It is that novelty that renews the spirit, a flame that illuminates without burning… if we know how to handle it with respect and wisdom.
We all need freedom. This need arises from our insides, like a primal cry, a life force. It is so strong that it pushes us to protect it, sometimes even to restrict it, for fear that it will be misused, for fear of its destructive potential when it is misused.
Freedom is a fruit. It is the fruit of the tree of our being, a fruit loved and desired, sometimes forbidden, sometimes forgotten. It is the fruit of our humanity.
Every bite, every taste of this freedom reminds us of what we are: living, thinking beings, aspiring to grow and flourish.
But freedom, like everything precious, requires balance and respect. It cannot be absolute, because freedom without limits, freedom without conscience, becomes a burden, a force that divides rather than unites.
So, be free, be happy, but with wisdom and moderation. Because true freedom is not only to do what one wants, but to be fully oneself , in harmony with others and with the world.
Freedom is our essence, our power and our responsibility.
